The Red Cross of Greater Idaho celebrates humanitarianism with its annual Hometown Heroes Awards by bringing together community leaders, first-responders, emergency and safety personnel, businesses and others to acknowledge those who have saved the lives of others. Winners were honored in categories including water safety, fire safety, military, law enforcement, animal rescue and youth.

Realtor Golf Tournament Raises Money for Nonprofits

Local real estate professionals raised more than $29,000 at the 2018 Give-Back Golf Tournament benefiting the Realtors Community Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life through housing-related projects and grants. Held at Shadow Valley Golf Course, 151 golfers and 47 sponsors participated. This year’s event raised more than $9,000 more than in 2017.
