Summertime is a magical season. The kids are out of school, the sunshine seems never-ending and there’s no shortage of adventures that await. For many, summer evokes fond memories of childhood—sleepaway camp, family vacations and swimming until your fingers shriveled like prunes.
We also celebrate our nation’s independence, host parties for our friends and family (see page XX [Culinary Creations] for a perfect seasonal recipe) and, if we’re lucky, take a scenic road trip! We planned the ideal summer getaway—playlist included— on page XX [Road Trip].
In this issue of Boise Lifestyle, we want to remind you why summer is a season of opportunity. When’s the last time you played tourist in your own state? We invite you to use pages XX-XX [Water & Woods] as your guide to a spectacular adventure right here in Idaho.
This month is also a great opportunity to discover our local theater scene at the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. We can’t wait to book our tickets early for Hamilton in 2020!
With so much to see and do this month, we only scratched the surface of what Boise has to offer—but we hope this issue gets you off to a good start.
Happy exploring, Boise. We hope to see you around!
