Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center Names Jennifer Misajet Vice President of Operations
Saint Alphonsus Health System has named Jennifer Misajet the vice president of operations for Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. In her role, Jennifer will provide administrative and operational oversight for the medical center. She will have primary responsibility for ancillary services and hospital-based physician services. She comes to the medical center from Kaiser Permanente, Colorado Region, where she served as regional vice president for care delivery. Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Jennifer served as system executive for the director for perioperative services and the digestive health service line at Swedish Healthcare in Seattle. A former operating room nurse leader, Jennifer has also worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Wyoming.
Boise Native Annette Glenn Sworn into Michigan House of Representatives
Boise resident Betty Williams recently traveled to Michigan to hold the family Bible as her daughter, Boise native Annette Glenn, a graduate of Capital High School and Boise State University, was sworn in as a new member of the Michigan House of Representatives. Annette, also the daughter of Dr. Lewis Williams and the great-niece of former State Auditor Joe R. Williams, served as chair of the Ada County Republican Party before moving to Michigan in 1998. Annette succeeds her husband, former Ada County Commissioner Gary Glenn, in the seat.
Mayor David Bieter Appoints New Chief Information Officer
Boise Mayor David Bieter recently appointed Erika Cobb, a technology professional and executive with 22 years of experience, to lead the city of Boise’s Department of Information Technology. Erika’s appointment was affirmed by the Boise City Council. As the city’s chief information officer, Erika takes over a key role in the city’s citizen experience initiative, an organization-wide effort to improve customer service in all areas of interaction between Boise’s residents and their city government. Erika will oversee a technology department with a $9.7 million budget and 60 employees.
Morrison Center Wins Awards with Phantom of the Opera Production
The Morrison Center has been awarded Theater of the Year and Best Touring Show for the 2018 BroadwayWorld Regional Awards with the production of Phantom of the Opera presented by the Fred Meyer Broadway in Boise series. The contest, which is sponsored by BroadwayHD, recognizes the best venues, productions, touring shows and acting in the area. This year the BroadwayWorld Regional Awards featured voting in more than 100 cities around the world. Categories were set by local editors, and reader-submitted nominees were voted on by local theater-goers. Regional productions, touring shows and more were all included in the awards.
