Boise’s Tyler Aragon Named Best Steak Master in the Region

Tyler Aragon was recently named regional champion of LongHorn Steakhouse’s Steak Master Series, a grilling competition. He is one of 57 team members to achieve this distinction from around the country. Tyler is a Grill Master at LongHorn Steakhouse at 7997 Franklin Road in Boise.

Opera Idaho Names New Board of Directors Members

Opera Idaho has welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Bonnie Hollenbeck, Amanda Sampson and Laura Simic. These members aid in supporting the organization with their specific skill sets and professional knowledge. Bonnie has been a senior healthcare executive with St. Luke’s Health System since 2014. Amanda is commercial contracts legal counsel at the J. R. Simplot Company. Laura has more than 30 years of fundraising and alumni relations experience in public and private higher education. In her position at BSU, she leads the teams responsible for the university’s fundraising, alumni relations and donor relations, and provides strategic leadership for campaigns.

Bob Kustra Awarded Stimpson Award from City Club

Bob Kustra was honored last month with the City Club of Boise’s Stimpson Award for his service to Boise State University and the city of Boise. Named after City Club founder Dottie Stimpson and her husband, Ed, the award recognizes individuals or organizations that embrace the idea that no problem is so great that it cannot be solved by people with open minds and civil discourse. In selecting Bob, City Club recognizes his commitment to promoting conversation, civic engagement and dialogue throughout our community.
