Mountain Biking and Trail Systems
Touted as one of the best downhill courses in the Northwest, take the chairlift up to find a variety of green to double black diamond single-track trails. For the less adventurous, try Foothills Park’s 150 acres of cross-country trails.
Follow guides on one of America’s best zip line adventures. Zip through tall Ponderosa trees and over creeks, walk along suspension bridges and experience the mountain from high above.
Marina and Whitewater Rafting
Reserve your surf or ski boat, pontoon boat, stand-up paddleboards or dock space now at the Waterfront Cabana. Guided whitewater raft trips down the Cabarton Run of the Payette River are unforgettable.
Tamarack Resort, located just 90 miles north of Boise, could still be Idaho’s best-kept secret. Transitioning to new resort ownership and management, Tamarack is coming off its best ski season since 2008 and is looking forward to another fun-filled summer. Its waterfront cabana will open Memorial Day Weekend with a variety of motorized boats, stand-up paddleboards and kayaks to rent, as well as dock space and mooring buoys. Restaurant services will be available seven days a week in the Seven Devils Garden & Pub and the Sports Dome. Zip lining, lift-serviced downhill mountain biking and guided whitewater raft trips were slated for June openings, while the Sunset Summer Concert Series kicks off July 7. The Lodge at Osprey Meadows offers a heated pool, oversized hot tub, fitness center, locker rooms and a bar.
