Sparkling as a Jewel in the Crown of the Winery Industry
Looking for a getaway, or perhaps planning a wedding? Look no further than enriching you and friends with a visit to Ste. Chapelle. You will find this enchanting Idaho getaway tucked away in one of Idaho’s beautiful wine growing regions: the Snake River Basin area.
Visitors to Ste. Chapelle are greeted with open wrought iron gates and the French-inspired tasting room beckons you atop aptly named Winery Hill. The Snake River Valley area is rich with history as it came into the spotlight as “the Snake River Valley AVA.” In 2007 a petition was granted for the area to be designated as an American Viticulture Area.
The magic of the Snake River Valley AVA is found in the ancient Lake Idaho bed, which it overlays, creating its natural boundaries. The panoramic views and diverse agriculture of this enchanting valley make it a favorite amongst local growers. In the hands of these talented winemakers, such soils consistently deliver wines that reflect and capture the essence of the Snake River Valley.
From high on Winery Hill, Ste. Chapelle’s winery is home to thousands of acres of rich orchards and farmland in Southwestern Idaho, known as Sunny Slope. Ste. Chapelle received acknowledgement and a warm welcome from Precept Wine in 2012 to its Northwest Family of Wineries-Sparkling as a Jewel in the Crown of the Winery Industry.
As you enter the winery’s tasting room to taste one of its famous wines, or as you enjoy a savory appetizer outside on the veranda with friends, you can feel the breezy feel of its decor, inspired by the Sainte Chapelle in Paris.
Ste. Chapelle plays host to a variety of wines that are popular with distinction and taste. Such wines range from Riesling and Chardonnay to Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Its popular “Soft” series continues to expand.
Depending on the scope of your weekend adventure, there is always something going on. Some of the recent concert series this year included: Ian McFeron Band, The Blues Brothers, Steve Fulton band and others. As Idaho enters into fall, so will Ste. Chapelle, having played host to The Snake River Valley Harvest Festival -The Big Wow!
On the horizon for the remaining year is:
