Boise's Fashion Forward Boutique 3

Marla June’s Clothing Company

Walk down Bannock Street between 8th and 9th and a lovely new ladies boutique is sure to get your attention. Marla June’s Clothing Company opened its doors in downtown Boise in November, 2015, bringing a unique and fun place to shop to the Boise area.

Come into the store and it’s clear right away that something is different. Customers shopping in the family owned store enjoy an environment that makes shopping for clothes, shoes, and accessories fun. “Walk in and you’ll quickly meet our friendly, experienced staff who take the time to discuss your unique style, providing a personalized shopping experience,” says Owner Marla June Barnhart. “It is our commitment to provide the type of personal service that makes a woman feel relaxed and good about herself.”

Marla June’s carries the very best from top fashion designers, and with a flair for fun, the store offers a variety of fashion-forward brands. You’ll enjoy discovering the latest styles from Aratta, Hazel, Liverpool, Fly London, Vince Camuto, Brighton, and more.

“We strive to find pieces made of high quality materials, from casual to special occasions, everyday wear to business,  jeans to dresses,” says Barnhart. “My goal with each and every person we serve is to provide them with personal attention and give them a great selection of unique fashion and styles to meet their needs and tastes.”

Prior to following her passion for fashion, Barnhart spent 15 years in sales management and advertising sales. “I had a strong desire to change careers and ultimately, after researching options, traveling to boutiques in the Pacific Northwest, and gaining the support of my wonderful husband, my dream of owning my own women’s clothing store became a reality.”  In August 2005, the first Marla June’s Clothing Company location opened in the Pendleton area.

With two other locales in the Pacific Northwest, one in Kennewick, WA and the other in Pendleton, OR, Downtown Boise seemed like a natural place for a new store expansion. “Our first experience with Boise was traveling to see friends who had moved to the area,” says Barnhart. “As we explored the downtown area, we found an excitement from the businesses and people that worked there. The more we saw of Boise, the more we felt our store would fit very well into such a growing and exciting city.”

Aside from a great shopping experience, Marla June’s also provides a space for private parties such as “Wine, Women and Fashion – Girls Night Out” (see more information about this opportunity at
