A family-style approach to furniture.
It’s that time of year! Time to burrow in, switch things up and do something new and different with your living space. Are you in the market for current and trendy furniture and home accessories without spending the big bucks? You might want to check out Model Home Furnishings. They offer designer-style furniture for 30 to 50 percent less than name brand stores. Customers can visit the store’s showroom or look through an online catalog of more than 15,000 items for sale.
“We sell to local builders and stagers and also let the public buy items at the same low prices,” says Brittney Byrne, manager of the store’s Eagle location. “Everything is brand new and we carry a wide variety of options. We go to the Las Vegas World Furniture Market, which has every manufacturer you can think of, to pick out what we want to carry each year. We really keep up on the trends.”
Model Home Furnishings offers a huge selection of items to choose from, from modern pieces, to traditional, and everything in between. A quick scan of their robust online catalog reveals various styles of chairs, tables, rugs, lamps, cabinets, mirrors, wall art, beds, desks, entertainment centers, and plenty more.
“You can change a whole room with one small thing, and right now we’re selling a lot of accent pieces ranging in price from $99 to $500,” Byrne says. “We’re also seeing a lot of poster beds, shabby chic and rustic modern styles, lots of wood with metal accents, and linens and teal.”
Byrne says Model Home Furnishings is unique because of their full-service design and delivery offerings.
“We are in control of your furniture from beginning to end,” she says. “All of our staff have been doing this for a really long time. We offer in-home design help and we’re really good about helping in-store if people bring in color schemes or plans.”
Model Home Furnishings is a family-owned, family-run business and Byrne has been manager of the Eagle location for eight years.
“My dad started the concept 30 years ago,” she explained. “I’ve been part of it my whole life. My whole family has been part of it. We are a small team and we run a small ship but it works really well for us. We like to have that family atmosphere.”
Byrne said this atmosphere extends to Model Home Furnishings’ customer service approach.
“We’re trying to help you make your house look good, we’re not trying to sell you something,” she says. “We let you shop and we will help you when you need it instead of bugging you the whole time. We like to be friends with our customers. That’s our niche. We want you to feel welcome.”
