Rosendahl Foot & Shoe Center Earns ABC Accreditation
The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. recently awarded Rosendahl Foot & Shoe Center with a three-year accreditation award in foot orthotics, foot prosthetics and diabetic footwear needs. The honor recognizes Rosendahl for achievements in organizational management, patient care standards, quality assurance, supplier compliance and facility and safety management. The award is the highest level of accreditation in the orthotics and prosthetics profession. Rosendahl, a locally owned and operated business, has been in the Treasure Valley since 1980. It has two locations: 125 S. Curtis Road in Boise and 2102 Caldwell Blvd., Suite 116 in Nampa.
Idaho Wild Rivers Announces Grant Program Recipients
The Idaho Wild Rivers Grant Program awarded $28,525 in funds during its February meeting. The funds come from the Wild Rivers specialty license plate fund. Under Idaho Code, the proceeds from the license plates can be used for promoting whitewater river tourism within Idaho; improving user facilities or access to whitewater rivers; helping clean up litter or promoting good conservation practices by river users; and promoting, encouraging or ensuring the safe use of Idaho’s whitewater rivers. The award recipients were Team River Runner, River Discovery, North Fork Championship, Dare to Kayak – New Meadows, Dare to Kayak – Salmon River Dive Team, Idaho Outfitters & Guides Association and the Idaho White Water Association.
New City of Boise Attorney Appointed
Jayme Sullivan has been appointed to lead the City of Boise’s Legal Department. As City Attorney, Jayme is the mayor and city council’s primary legal adviser and part of the city’s executive management team. Her first day on the job was April 1. The former Canyon County magistrate judge now oversees a department budget of $6.3 million and a team of more than 50 attorneys. These attorneys specialize in contract law, criminal law, real estate transactions, land use planning, aviation, employment law, risk management and civil litigation. The City Attorney’s Office also handles criminal prosecution for the cities of Meridian, Eagle and Garden City.
Jayme has a juris doctorate and bachelor’s degrees in English and Spanish from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Best Small Town Throwdown Rodeo: A Documentary Premieres June 2
Get a behind-the-scenes look at rodeo life starting at 6 p.m. June 2 at The Egyptian Theatre (700 W. Main St., Boise). Written and directed by Hope Manna and produced by Manna and Kellie Allred, the Best Small Town Throwdown Rodeo documentary follows the Eagle Rodeo. In one spot for 17 years, the rodeo was forced to move when its land-use lease expired. With less than a year before rodeo season began again, the hunt was on to not only find a new location but to pick up the entire rodeo and move it there.
