Her love for decorating her own home turned into a passion. She began helping friends and enjoyed helping them create a home they loved. “With the busy, lives we lead, we need a place we can come home to that we love and can find peace,” she says. “Making the home a sanctuary is what I help people do.”

Try it once, and you may end up making this an annual tradition. Everything is within walking distance, from excellent food and unique, small-town specialty shops to the shores of Lake Cascade. The slower pace and village atmosphere of the town puts everyone in a friendly, helpful mood. If you are up for an adventure, snow sports in the winter and biking and lake sports in the summer will get your blood pumping. To unwind and relax, the spa, hot tubs and walking along the beach will certainly do the trick. This summer, Brundage is hosting a dinner and music series for Friday evening entertainment. Each evening will follow a theme such as a luau or fiesta.

Idaho is full of campgrounds ranging from Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, state parks, private businesses and wide spots off a dirt road. It doesn’t matter which campsite you choose. It only takes a few minutes on the internet or a decent map to find them, so that’s not what this story is about.
