Two Zero Eight Salon and Spa Debuts

Two Zero Eight Salon and Spa made their debut on September 1st in the heart of downtown Boise. The salon is located on the corner of 8th and Bannock in the historical Hoff building. Two Zero Eight is locally owned and operated by Laura Nigh, a stylist who has been in the beauty industry for 10 years. Her passion is making men, women and children feel relaxed, yet confident and beautiful in their own skin. The salon is named after the area code of Idaho because Nigh feels it’s important to support local and to take pride in the beauty where we live–not only in the landscape, but in the people.

Look for Two Zero Eight during Boise’s First Thursday events, as well as on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  They will be posting current trends, tips, before and after photos, upcoming events, specials, and more. You can find them at

Give Back Through Rescue Mission

Looking for a way to give back to the Treasure Valley community this holiday season? Donating to Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is a great place to start. There are many ways to give to the Mission, whether it be donating food, clothing, money or volunteering your time, and each one is equally vital in supporting their homeless ministry in the Boise and Nampa areas. Bishop Kelly Foundation Fundraiser

The Bishop Kelly Foundation Winner’s Choice Dinner and Auction will be held at the Boise Center the evening of November 7.  The Foundation provides financial support to the school and need-based, faith-blind tuition assistance to its students. Each ticket includes dinner for two and a chance to win a car of the winner’s choice on display from Mountain Home Auto Ranch. This has been a successful tradition for 39 years. The evening also includes a silent and live auction of a wide variety of items, services, trips, and dinners. This year’s theme is “A Knight In Vegas”—the BK mascot is a knight–and although there will be no gaming, the event will capture the glitz with Vegas-themed décor.

For more information on the event, or to purchase tickets, visit  or contact Rita Franklin at or 208.323.4789.
